Our Multi-generational Collection Experience, Modern Technology and Attorney Enforcement has made us

THE GOLD STANDARD OF

MCA COLLECTIONS

UCC1 Lien Enforcement

We have perfected the ability to maximize the leverage of our clients’ lien power using the UCC1. The UCC1 is a unique tool that gives our clients an extreme advantage often wasted with a typical collection agency.

Locating Assets

The ability to locate assets is an art, not a science. Our approach - using modern-day resources and expertise - provides us with a particular advantage locating bank accounts, merchant service accounts, merchant revenue sources, and other tangible assets.

Attorney Enforcement

We can legally draw on resources and techniques not available to a common bill collector. The result is an increased effectiveness all while minimizing costs to our client, mitigating needless litigation, and a client’s exposure to liability. Most importantly, all claims are enforced by a licensed attorney.

Multi-generational

Collection Experience

As a second-generation, family-owned and operated company, we utilize our vast experience and perspective on the evolution of the collection industry. This permits us to be forward-thinking, perfect our processes, and anticipate industrial changes to better position ourselves and enforce our clients’ interests.

No Collection, No Fee

We operate on a 100% contingency basis. Because we are genuinely invested in each client’s success, we only benefit when our collection efforts increase our client’s bottom line.

Worldwide Litigation Network

As members of the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC), we are a part of a legal network that authorizes us to file lawsuits, when deemed necessary, in every state, and in many countries worldwide.

The Gold Standard

The majority of the commercial collection industry is made up of agencies who try to set themselves apart by claiming to have either better collectors, superior technology or an “in-house” legal department. As you visit collection websites, you will notice these buzz words are used very often.

Collection agencies rely on bill collectors to locate and collect from debtors. In most states, bill collectors do not require any type of licensing, training or certification. Generally, their directive consists of a cleverly designed script they must follow to ensure they do not venture outside of legal guidelines, which significantly limits their effectiveness. Collectors are also prohibited by law from communicating threats of or pursuing legal action, resulting in a highly ineffective process. When a collector’s script fails, your claim is usually forwarded to a legal department and handled by a lawyer. It is at this point that the cost for collections goes from that of an introductory commission rate to a much higher legal rate. In essence, when your file requires legal expertise you net less of a return and longer delays…BUT NOT WITH CRI.

Raising The Bar

CRI has a one of a kind business model. All of our collectors are attorneys. Every communication made to your delinquent customers will come from a lawyer. All of our attorneys are highly trained, licensed and educated legal professionals. This tremendous advantage allows us to utilize from day one of the collection process, many of the same tools and strategies that our competition generally reserves for their “in-house” legal departments. While a typical bill collector may be armed with a savvy collection script, our attorneys have the arsenal of the judicial system at their disposal. This results in faster collections at a lower cost for our clients. In the event that suit is filed, our rate will increase to accommodate our costs, however since the leverage and benefit of the legal system is used throughout all stages of collection, a lawsuit is required far less often than that of our competitors.

Remember, the company you hire to contact and recover from your customers is your agent. They act as an extension of your company. Ask yourself who would you rather have representing your company, the negative stigma that generally applies to a typical collection agency, or a team of licensed, experienced attorneys who are legally required to adhere to high ethical and moral standards and conduct business in a professional manner.

 FAQs

  • Unique to CRI, our collectors are attorneys. This means we can draw on resources and techniques not legally available to a common bill collector. Typically the average collector will refer a claim to a lawyer when he is unsuccessful with his collection efforts, but at a cost to his client. Whereas at CRI, the advantages that come with attorney involvement are implemented from day one of our collection process. We strategically use these advantages to collect from debtors, thus resulting in afaster recovery and overall lower cost to our client.

  • No. The only time you pay an increased legal fee is if a lawsuit is filed. Unlike our competitors, we are able to utilize many legal remedies and techniques from the very beginning of the collection process. Therefore, our litigation rate is far lower than that of our competitors, and equates to lower collection costs for our clients.

  • Unfortunately, most collection agencies are not regulated, nor is a professional license or certification required. This has resulted in many of our competitors pushing ethical boundaries to gain an edge, which compromises the integrity of the clients they represent. However, when you have attorneys working on your behalf, their access to a full spectrum of legal avenues means they do not have to resort to unethical tactics. CRI collectors are lawyers and members of the California State Bar, which means they must adhere to high moral and ethical standards.

  • We understand how difficult it can be to obtain clients and the importance of maintaining a positive, long-lasting relationship. Having employees that observe high professional standards is one of the reasons we chose to take on the additional expense of employing attorneys over traditional bill collectors. This level of professionalism is essential and tailored to assist a delinquent customer to pay their debt while keeping in mind their value to our clients. For every customer that you may never want to do business with again, there is another profitable customer that simply got behind and who could benefit from the creative financial advice offered by our staff of attorneys to get back on track.

  • We are able to collect against any debtor in any state or country. Should collection efforts be ineffective and litigation becomes necessary, we can utilize our network of legal partners to file suit regardless of where in the world your debtor conducts business.
